in gen 8 we will not only have a fire/fighting starter, but a grass/fighting and water/fighting as well

in gen 8 we have three pure fighting type starters, they become fire, grass and water when they reach their third stage

They’re all identical and you don’t know which one you will get.

In gen 9 there is a typical water/grass/fire set but no matter who you choose all 3 will evolve into the exact same pure fighting type
