When somebody says that “a man likes to feel like a man,” all I hear is “A man likes to feel superior to you and it’s your job to make him believe it.” 

Someone said this to me once, that a man needs to feel like a man, I replied “well I’m not stopping him” and had to watch this fragile creature try to explain to me that my strong personality could demean men.

It’s ok to take a break from politics. You dont always have to be 100% up to date with everything and be involved and educated in every single issue. It’s unrealistic and it’s exhausting. In a world that’s constantly demanding attention, we often fall into this hole where we think if we aren’t paying attention, we don’t care. But it’s ok to step away and just breathe. That doesn’t make you cold, it makes you human.

We cant expect ourselves to give all of our emotion to every problem in the world. We all have our fight to fight and it’s ok if yours isn’t what’s headlining.
