Tonight was not the loud and clear refusal of Donald Trump and his racist, bigoted and borderline fascist policies that we were hoping it would be. That hurts. Half the country still clings to those beliefs, and it sucks.

BUT!

With a House majority, Dems can stop his most outrageous acts and intensify the various investigations into his collusion and corruption. Today was a good day, just not as good as it could and should have been. Goodnight guys, here’s to a brighter future.

^^^ that last paragraph is most important. If the republicans had maintained control of the house the investigations into the crimes of the administration would’ve been blocked and kept from the American people, if not stopped completely.

The senate loss sucks, but was not unexpected. The Blue Wave was more of a Blue Ripple but a ripple big enough to make a difference.
