As much as I totally love this joke, Starkid is actually amazing at foreshadowing, symbolism, and shit like that. Don’t believe me, rewatch AVPS and see how many references to the surprise twist you missed. They just don’t bother using foreshadowing for stuff that they know the audience already knows (like stuff from the original canon)
