The article is just as bad as the headline would indicate

“Cruelty isn’t letting people starve in the streets by the millions, true cruelty is a small handful of people not being obscenely wealthy.”
This is the “let them eat cake” of late capitalism.
“Average quality of life is improved by vast wealth inequality” factoid actually just a statistical error. Capitalist Georg, who lives in 12 mansions and eats gold for fun is an outlier and should not have been counted
