A: eh fine but i’m going to make you grovel some before i forgive you, because i am clearly in the right, even though i used underhanded methods to find out
B: yes it is absolutely my bad for thinking an ordinary [civilian, earthling, mortal] shouldn’t be trusted with [state secrets, my life, my soul, my criminal record], what was i thinking
A: ok i forgive you now dish
B: yay i am redeemed by your forgiveness please help yourself to my total trust even though you found out my secret in a way that demonstrated your untrustworthiness
