see this is the thing: i was listening to this on audiobook so there were no visual cues with capitalization or anything, so I heard this and had to pause and sit silently for like five minutes because i was genuinely baffled why this medieval lady would have twenty bottles of 20th century soft drink Mountain Dew™ in her house.  i was trying to remember if there were other signs she was a time traveler that i had missed and then wondering if Mountain Dew™ even existed when this was published and only then did i realize that those words in that order could mean something different and that this novel was written in a more innocent time
