This Scarjo thing isn’t like Ed Skrien stepping down from Hellboy. She knew the situation already when she was cast and had no problems with it, and when the backlash made her aware, instead of dropping out then and there or at least trying to show some compassion and understanding, she gave a very fucking shitty and dismissive ‘these men have done it and won awards for it so I can too’ which completely fucking dismissed the anger and pain of trans folks at the news and the issue of cis actors in trans roles being put forward to her.

She’s only ‘stepped down’ – honestly if anything it was probably a studio decision- after that response just fanned the outrage fire further and the situation started to get traction in mainstream news outlets.

She’s not apologised for her comments and barely even acknowledged why this was an issue in the first place.

Fuck her.
