The thing with that, is that corporate alternatives to the USPS (UPS, FedEx, Amazon) don’t deliver to rural areas which often depend on them. The USPS serves the whole nation, no matter the population density. Theres a conversation to be had about higher up salaries for sure, but the post office is a fundamental American institution.
